Isrotel chain is set to open a new hotel in Mitzpe Ramon, named “Daroma”, following an extensive two-year renovation and near-complete reconstruction. The project, located on the site of the former Pundak Ramon, represents an investment of approximately 100 million ILS. The Daroma Hotel, part of the Isrotel Collection, is scheduled to welcome its first guests on June 22, 2025, promising a unique desert hospitality experience adjacent to the stunning Ramon Crater. The hotel features 128 rooms, each designed with inspiration from the desert and its expansive views. Guests will have access to a range of facilities including a heated indoor pool, wet sauna, and a fitness centre. Family amenities include a kids’ club and a play zone. The hotel also offers a stylish lobby serving a dairy menu alongside a central dining room.
Massive Tourism Complex and Luxury Hotel Underway at Dead Sea
A colossal tourism complex, poised to become the largest in Israel, is currently under construction at the Dead Sea. The ambitious project, valued at hundreds of millions of ILS – with an estimated investment of around 800 million ILS, will introduce a major convention centre, tourist attractions, a luxury hotel, and a commercial hub to the region. This development is part of a significant wave of expansion that includes the construction of no less than 20 new hotels within the Tamar Regional Council.
The centrepiece of the development will be a five-star hotel featuring 370 luxurious suites. Each suite is designed to offer unobstructed views of the Dead Sea and will include private pools. Among the accommodations are expansive 250-square-meter penthouses complete with solariums and large swimming pools. The complex will also boast a 20,000-square-meter commercial centre, a promenade lined with dozens of shops, restaurants, and cafes, an indoor mall, and a high-end rooftop area featuring a transparent infinity pool and a chef restaurant.
A major highlight and expected draw will be a colossal aquarium, planned to be the seventh largest in the world, offering visitors an immersive diving experience within an underwater glass tunnel.
